  • The Kenya School of TVET will have its 45th Graduation on 10th December 2024. All graduands are expected to be seated at 8:00 AM.
  • January Intake for All our Programs (DTTE & CIT) is ongoing.  Apply Now
  • Graduands are required to pick their graduation gowns between 6th and 9th December 2024. Gowns are to be returned between 10th (from 3:00 PM) and 13th December 2024.

Background

The Teaching Practice Coordination Department (TPCD) at The Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET) plays a leading role in the training of Technical Teachers. It is a service department in the sense that it serves all the students pursuing technical teacher education programmes.

The main role of the (TPCD) is to place teacher trainees in Teaching Practice Institutions and ensure that they are supervised and assessed professionally and effectively.

To be a centre of excellence in the coordination and provision of teaching practice services

Mission

To produce professional and competent technical teachers through well-coordinated teaching practice exercise.

  • To carry out  research for teaching practice service improvement

  • To reduce gender parity in selecting Teaching Practice Institutions

For effective supervision, the TP regions are divided into ten zones.  Each zone is coordinated by a zone coordinator who is assisted by a deputy zone coordinator. The zones and coordinators are as follows:
