World Skills Competition and Innovation Week

Starting from 1st September, 2023, the Kenya school of TVET hosted the World Skills Competition and Innovation Week on Friday, Among the notable attendees was the current Education Cabinet Secretary, Mr Ezekiel Machogu. During the fete, CS Machogu emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting young people. He outlined two key initiatives: equipping them with relevant skills and dismantling the stigma surrounding vocational training. By promoting TVET Institutions as respected pathways to success, the government aims to empower the youth. The five-day World Skills Competition served as a platform for over 150 young Kenyans to showcase their talents in 18 different skilled trades.
