TiL AI in TVET Workshop in Kenya.

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL), in partnership with the Kenya School of TVET and Sigalagala National Polytechnic, recently hosted a groundbreaking Four-day Trainer-in-the-Loop Artificial Intelligence (TiL AI) Workshop at the Sigalagala National Polytechnic in Kakamega.
Held from 26-29 June 2025, this event marked a significant milestone in Kenya’s journey to enhance blended learning in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by integrating AI into the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) for Fashion Design Technology using the Recently implemented Modular National Occupation standard level 4.
Dr. Edwin Tarno, the Chief Executive Officer at Kentya School of TVET, has been instrumental in the success of this project from its inception by providing all the necessary support, including the human resources to coordinate and make this project a success.
